Tunya Irkad

Tunya Irkad is an Associate at 500 Emerging Europe, where she manages venture capital investment activities for various early-stage technology companies. Joining the investment firm in 2021, she helps oversee and deploy capital from a €70 million fund targeting technology startups across Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and Turkey. This regional investment vehicle operates in direct association with 500 Global, an international venture capital firm that currently manages approximately $2.4 billion in total assets under management. Prior to assuming her current institutional venture capital role, Irkad developed her initial early-stage investment experience by working within a dedicated regional angel investor network. She previously established her foundational technical expertise by completing undergraduate engineering studies at Bilkent University. Irkad's current professional focus centers on sourcing, evaluating, and supporting emerging DevTools platforms and other regional technology startups.
