Tunç Yalgın is a Partner at 500 Global's Istanbul arm, where he directs early-stage technology investments from his base in Istanbul, Turkey. Before assuming this position in March 2024 to expand the firm's European footprint, he served as Managing Partner at Startupfon, Turkey's first seed fund, and co-founded Mentorgroup. Throughout his career, Yalgın has executed more than 50 investments across the fintech, SaaS, and healthtech sectors, backing prominent regional unicorns including Insider, Trendyol, and Getir. The Boğaziçi University engineering graduate also serves as a mentor for the Techstars Istanbul accelerator, speaks at major conferences like Web Summit and Slush, and shares industry analysis with an audience of over 20,000 LinkedIn followers.
