Tristan Kalos

Tristan Kalos is the founder of Escape, an application security startup that participated in the highly competitive Y Combinator Winter 2023 batch. Through his work at Escape, he focuses on developing specialized security tools designed to help engineering teams protect modern web infrastructure, specifically targeting Single Page Applications, APIs, and microservices. Prior to establishing his current venture, Kalos worked as a machine learning engineer at the technology company source{d}, where he applied artificial intelligence models to complex software engineering challenges. Before entering the private sector, he served as an academic researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, further developing his foundational technical expertise in computer science and machine learning algorithms. Today, his professional focus centers entirely on bridging the gap between advanced machine learning research and practical application security solutions for modern software developers.
