Trevor Reed

Trevor Reed is the Co-Founder of Hyrex and is currently based in Traverse City, Michigan. Founded in 2024 alongside Mark Dawson, the three-employee startup is headquartered in San Francisco and participated in the Y Combinator S24 batch to develop a durable task orchestration framework utilizing PostgreSQL. The platform specifically manages large-scale tasks defined in Python or TypeScript. Previously, Reed served as a Software Engineer and Mars Rover Driver at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he successfully logged over one kilometer of extraterrestrial drive distance. Prior to his tenure at NASA, he worked as a Software Engineer at Google, where he focused on processing large-scale video data for the YouTube platform. Reed's technical background centers on distributed systems, with a current focus on building controllable and observable infrastructure for modern software engineering and DevOps teams.
