Torben Friehe

Torben Friehe is the Co-founder of Wingback, a technology startup based in Berlin, Germany. Prior to his current venture, he co-founded and operated the Internet of Things startup 1aim GmbH for seven years before leading the company to a successful acquisition. Following this exit, Friehe transitioned into an advisory role for early-stage founders and subsequently joined the startup community On Deck in late 2020. During his tenure at On Deck, he connected with his future business partner Yann, which ultimately led to the establishment of Wingback. Additionally, he is an active contributor to the European technology publication Sifted, where he writes about the operational challenges within the Berlin tech ecosystem. His professional background centers on scaling SaaS and IoT enterprises, with a current focus on building his new venture and supporting the broader European entrepreneurship landscape.
