Tony Thomas

Tony Thomas is a telecommunications executive and the former Chief Executive Officer of Windstream Holdings, based in Little Rock, Arkansas. During his nine-year tenure as CEO from 2014 to 2023, he managed over $5 billion in annual revenues and directed the company through a comprehensive financial restructuring process. Prior to his appointment as chief executive, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Windstream, where he oversaw capital allocation and corporate development initiatives. He previously held financial leadership positions at Alltel Corporation, managing financial planning and analysis before the company was acquired by Verizon Communications for $28.1 billion. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Tulsa and a master of business administration from Wake Forest University. His career focuses on corporate finance, operational turnarounds, and strategic growth within the enterprise telecommunications sector.
