Tony Kam

Tony Kam is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Lilac Labs, an artificial intelligence startup focused on automating drive-thru order-taking. At Lilac Labs, which currently operates with a team of two to four employees, Kam directs corporate strategy, operational scaling, and execution. The business participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch to accelerate its commercial development. Prior to co-founding Lilac Labs, Kam worked as an engineer at Tesla, where he managed display and touch systems for vehicle infotainment and optimized driving visualization performance. He gained earlier technical experience in manufacturing automation at Intel and robotics simulation at CloudMinds. Kam holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley, where he focused on operating systems, and his current focus remains on deploying advanced automation and systems engineering within the business-to-business sector.
