Tony Goss

Tony Goss is the Founder of Idler, an artificial intelligence startup building reinforcement learning environments that was recently accepted into the Y Combinator Summer 2025 batch. Prior to his current venture, he cofounded several notable blockchain and technology initiatives, including the decentralized strategy game Dark Forest, the cryptography research group 0xPARC, Zupass, and Hack Lodge. Goss also gained software engineering experience through technical roles at major technology companies and government agencies, including Facebook, AppSheet, Dynasty, and the United States Census Bureau. Outside of his core engineering work, he has demonstrated community building capabilities by orchestrating events for over 500 attendees and has competed as a professional ultimate frisbee player and state champion coach. His professional background combines early stage cryptocurrency development with a current focus on advancing artificial intelligence infrastructure through specialized reinforcement learning environments.
