Anthony Evnin is a veteran venture capitalist and Partner at Venrock in New York City, where he focuses on life sciences and biotechnology investments. After earning his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Princeton University and his doctorate from MIT, he began his career as a research scientist at Union Carbide. Since joining Venrock in 1974, he has shaped the modern biotech industry by leading early investments in more than forty companies, including Centocor, IDEC Pharmaceuticals, and Juno Therapeutics. He currently serves on the boards of AVEO Pharmaceuticals and Infinity Pharmaceuticals, while also acting as a director for Bridge Medicines alongside Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Furthermore, his extensive commitment to advancing translational biomedical research includes serving as a trustee emeritus at both Princeton University and The Rockefeller University, and supporting the New York Genome Center.
