Tommy Ahlers is a Partner at Look Up Ventures, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Before transitioning to venture capital, he served as the CEO of ZYB, which was acquired by Vodafone for approximately $50 million in 2008, and later led Podio as CEO until its $43.6 million sale to Citrix in 2012. His public sector experience includes serving as the Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science from 2018 to 2019 and as a Member of the Danish Parliament until 2021. At Look Up Ventures, he backs early-stage science-based startups from Pre-Seed to Series A, participating in 10 funding rounds between 2022 and 2025 with an average round size of $7.23 million. As a former McKinsey consultant, Ahlers currently focuses on leveraging his operational and policy expertise to scale companies addressing the climate emergency and biodiversity loss.
