Tomer Kariv is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pontifax Venture Capital, a healthcare-focused venture firm based in Herzliya, Israel. Since establishing the firm in 2004, he has helped build a portfolio of more than 40 life sciences companies and managed over $350 million in assets. Kariv serves on the boards of several biotechnology and medical device startups, holding a directorship at Keros Therapeutics alongside a chairman position at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals. Before launching his current fund, he spent a decade in senior management roles at Israeli financial institutions directing early investments into technology-driven enterprises. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. His current focus centers on financing emerging healthcare technologies across all development stages to bridge the gap between clinical research and patient care.
