Tom Spier is the Founder and Managing Partner of BFG Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Boulder, Colorado. He began his career as an analyst at JP Morgan before transitioning to the consumer packaged goods sector as Chief Operating Officer of Bear Naked Granola, which was acquired by Kellogg's. Spier subsequently co-founded EVOL Foods, scaling the business until its sale to Conagra in 2013, which prompted the launch of BFG Partners the following year. Under his leadership, the firm activated its third fund in 2024 with a $125 million target, securing 70% in initial commitments. He currently holds board seats at Bobo's and Caulipower, having previously served on the board of Chameleon Cold Brew prior to its acquisition by Nestle. Spier leverages his extensive operating background to focus on investments in emerging food and beverage brands.
