Tom Schmidt

Tom Schmidt is a General Partner at Dragonfly Capital based in New York City, New York. In this role, he focuses on global cryptocurrency venture investments across seed to Series B stages, deploying check sizes ranging from $3 million to over $30 million. Working alongside Managing Partners Haseeb Qureshi and Bo Feng, he targets early-stage opportunities within the digital asset space. Prior to joining Dragonfly Capital, Schmidt served as a Product Manager at Instagram and previously ran the product division at 0x, scaling it into a major decentralized exchange protocol. His involvement in the cryptocurrency sector spans more than a decade, originating in 2012 when he began mining Dogecoin while studying at Stanford University. Ultimately, Schmidt leverages his extensive product management background and early technical experience to back researchers and builders across the global blockchain ecosystem.
