Tom Hartke

Tom Hartke is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Undermind, a technology startup developing next-generation scientific research tools. He previously earned an undergraduate degree in physics from Princeton University in 2017 and completed his PhD in experimental quantum physics at MIT in 2022. During his academic career, Hartke authored ten peer-reviewed publications, including prominent research articles featured in the highly respected scientific journals Nature and Science. Furthermore, the American Physical Society recognized his doctoral thesis as one of the top four submissions globally in the field of atomic physics. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research focused on machine learning applications before transitioning into the commercial technology sector in 2023. His current focus centers on combining his deep quantum physics expertise with advanced software engineering to automate and accelerate complex scientific discovery processes.
