Tom Gellatly

Tom Gellatly is the founder of Centaur Labs, a data technology startup, and is currently based in Durham, North Carolina. Before establishing his current venture, he began his career in the technology sector as the first employee at Sidecar, an early ride-sharing platform. He contributed to the company's mobile and web development efforts until Sidecar was officially acquired by the automotive manufacturer General Motors in 2016. Following this transaction, Gellatly transitioned to Cruise Automation, where he spent 1.5 years managing the engineering teams responsible for mapping and data labeling operations. He originally developed his technical foundation by studying Computer Science and Engineering as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan. Gellatly's professional background is defined by his extensive experience in software engineering management, mobile application development, and building scalable data infrastructure for emerging technology enterprises.
