Todd MacLean

Todd MacLean is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Silversmith Capital Partners, a growth equity firm based in the MetroWest suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. Before co-founding the firm, he spent over 25 years working in the growth equity industry, holding senior investment positions at Summit Partners, Accel Partners, and Bain Capital. At Silversmith, which currently manages $3.3 billion in capital, he oversees investments across the SaaS and information services sectors. MacLean has led or co-led investments in prominent technology companies including SurveyMonkey, ActiveCampaign, and Webflow, while maintaining active board positions at several portfolio companies. He holds an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. His current investment focus primarily centers on vertical market software, specialty data, financial technology, and compliance-based business models.
