Todd Garland is a Managing Partner at Foundation Capital based in Menlo Park, California. Before transitioning to venture capital in 2023, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of multiple technology companies, including BuySellAds and AppFolio. Notably, AppFolio completed its initial public offering in 2015 and subsequently reached a public market capitalization exceeding $10 billion. He began his professional career in software engineering after earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire. As an investor, Garland has backed more than 50 early-stage startups, recently led a $15 million Series A funding round for an artificial intelligence sales platform in the first quarter of 2025, and spoke at TechCrunch Disrupt.
