Timo Ahopelto is a Founding Partner at Lifeline Ventures based in Helsinki, Finland. Before transitioning to venture capital, the Helsinki University of Technology graduate served as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company and was the Founding CEO of CRF Health, which he led from 2000 to 2007 prior to its €1.1 billion acquisition by Genstar in 2018. At Lifeline Ventures, he directs early-stage investments across software, health technology, and deeptech, backing portfolio companies such as Supercell and Oura. He currently holds several corporate governance positions, including serving on the Board of Directors for Nokia since 2023 and acting as Chair for both Canatu and TimeGate Instruments. Additionally, he previously chaired the startup conference Slush from 2018 to 2023. Today, Ahopelto leverages his entrepreneurial background to support early-stage technology founders scaling complex industrial, biotech, and digital innovations globally.
