Tim Weelborg

Tim Weelborg is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Homegrown Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In February 2022, he launched the firm alongside MarketBeat founder Matt Paulson, securing over $17 million in initial capital to provide investments of up to $1.5 million for regional technology startups. Prior to this role, Weelborg served as the Executive Director of the Enterprise Institute of South Dakota, where he established 14 regional angel funds and facilitated more than 100 early-stage investment deals. His earlier professional background includes founding GoodLife Property Management and holding corporate finance and business analysis positions at John Morrell & Co. and Med-Pac, Inc.
