Tim Tully Jr

Tim Tully Jr serves as a Partner at Menlo Ventures in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he focuses on investments in cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2021, he spent four years as the Chief Technology Officer at Splunk, leading a global engineering team of over 1,000 employees and managing the platform's transition to the cloud. His earlier career includes serving as Vice President of Engineering at Yahoo, where he directed data analytics and architecture initiatives for more than a decade. He previously held technical engineering roles at Sun Microsystems and earned a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. Tully currently leverages his two decades of enterprise technology experience to identify, fund, and actively support early-stage software startups across the modern data stack.
