Tim Suchanek

Tim Suchanek is the Founder of expand.ai, a developer tools startup based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2024 with a two-person engineering team, the company participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch and focuses on converting websites into type-safe APIs for artificial intelligence applications. Previously, he co-founded Stellate, a GraphQL caching platform that raised $30 million in venture funding and powers application programming interfaces for enterprise clients including Priceline and Puma. Before launching Stellate, Suchanek served as a founding engineer at Prisma and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. His early technical contributions include co-creating the widely used open-source tools GraphQL Playground and GraphiQL 2. Suchanek's professional background centers on building foundational developer tools and scalable data infrastructure to accelerate modern artificial intelligence integration.
