Tim MacDonald is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Hermeus Corporation, an aerospace manufacturing company based in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and previously served as a Senior Propulsion Development Engineer at SpaceX, where he contributed to the design of the Raptor engine. Under his technical leadership, Hermeus has secured significant capital to develop hypersonic and supersonic aircraft, including a $100 million contract with the US Air Force and a $285 million Series C funding round in 2025. MacDonald recently guided the company through its first full-scale Quarterhorse engine test and was recognized on the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Manufacturing and Industry.
