Tim Kutzkey

Tim Kutzkey is a Managing Partner at The Column Group and the co-founder and Chair of the board of directors at Nura Bio. He previously worked as a scientist at KAI Pharmaceuticals and earned his doctorate in molecular and cell biology from UC Berkeley in 2005, following undergraduate studies at Stanford University. Before joining The Column Group in 2007, Kutzkey served as the Founder and Managing Partner of Three Crowns Capital, where he helped finance early-stage life sciences firms such as PTC Therapeutics and ChemoCentryx. Throughout his venture capital career, he has contributed to the formation of nearly two dozen portfolio companies and acted as the interim CEO for startups including Nurix Therapeutics and Peloton Therapeutics. His professional focus remains centered on the conception, financing, and executive management of early-stage biotechnology and therapeutic drug development enterprises.
