Tim Keane

Tim Keane is the co-founder and chief executive officer of TYBR Health, an early-stage biomedical startup based in Houston, Texas. Founded in 2020, the three-person medical device company develops proprietary hydrogel technology for surgical recovery and was accepted into the Y Combinator Winter 2022 accelerator batch. Prior to launching this enterprise, Keane completed a specialized Biodesign Fellowship at the Texas Medical Center to identify clinical needs. His extensive academic background includes a doctorate in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, post-doctoral fellowships at Imperial College London, and both undergraduate and master's degrees in biomedical engineering from Texas A&M University. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications detailing his scientific research in biomaterials. Keane currently focuses on advancing regenerative medicine and commercializing advanced soft tissue healing solutions for complex surgical applications.
