Tim Hoerr

Tim Hoerr is the CEO and Managing Partner of Serra Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm managing over $140 million in assets. Before founding the firm in 2008, he served as the co-founder and CEO of iCyt Mission Technology, which was acquired by Sony in 2009, and later led ImmuVen to an acquisition in 2014. His nearly forty-year career also includes tenures as President and CFO of SourceGear and as a Consulting Partner at RSM McGladrey. At Serra Ventures, Hoerr oversees investments backed by more than 250 limited partners, writing initial checks between $250,000 and $2 million. He has additionally served as a board member for a Baylor University accelerator program for over a decade. Hoerr currently focuses his investment strategy exclusively on seed and Series A opportunities within the agriculture and food technology supply chain.
