Tilman Ehrbeck is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Flourish Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Washington, District of Columbia. He oversees an $850 million fund that has invested in more than 100 portfolio companies, including prominent fintech startups like Chime, Flutterwave, and Alloy. Prior to launching Flourish Ventures, Ehrbeck served as a Partner at Omidyar Network, spent five years as the CEO of CGAP, and worked as a Partner at McKinsey & Company. He focuses his investments on early-stage financial technology companies that expand economic access for underserved populations, while also chairing the Advisory Council to the U.N. Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance. Holding an Economics PhD, Ehrbeck began his career as a journalist before working at the IMF and recently discussing generative AI on the Scaling Impact Capital Podcast.
