Tianmeng Xu

Tianmeng Xu is a Founding Partner at Taihill Venture, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. Since establishing the investment firm in 2017, he has directed capital allocations into more than 130 early-stage startups across three distinct venture funds. His primary investment strategy remains industry-agnostic but is heavily concentrated on pre-seed deeptech enterprises, specifically targeting emerging ventures led by academic and scientific founders. Prior to his current career in institutional venture capital, Xu completed his undergraduate education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Nanjing University. His professional contributions to the North American technology investment ecosystem were formally recognized when he was selected for the Forbes list of 60 Outstanding Chinese in North America. Xu currently focuses on providing initial institutional capital to researchers commercializing foundational scientific breakthroughs across various technical disciplines.
