Thorben Rothe

Thorben Rothe is a Partner at Iris Capital in Berlin, Germany, where he heads early-stage venture investments across the DACH region. He initially joined the prominent European venture capital firm as a Principal in 2018 before being promoted to his current partnership role in 2021. Previously, Rothe served as a Principal at Capnamic Ventures, where he successfully launched the firm's Berlin office and managed a portfolio of twelve technology companies. His earlier career includes investment roles at DuMont Venture and operational positions at several early-stage technology startups. He holds a degree in Business Technology from the Technical University of Munich, which included international academic exchange programs at UCLA, the University of Melbourne, and KAIST. Rothe currently focuses his investment strategy on early-stage software applications, digital marketplaces, and B2B networks that are driving enterprise digital transformation.
