Thomas Malone

Thomas Malone is a Partner and Co-founder at Omega Venture Partners, an early-growth investment firm based in Palo Alto, California. Alongside his venture capital role, he serves as the Patrick J. McGovern Professor of Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the founding director of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence. Recruited by Gaurav Tewari to launch Omega Venture Partners in 2021, Malone contributes to an investment team that has collectively generated over $50 billion in IPO and M&A outcomes. Prior to his current positions, he co-founded three distinct software companies, secured 11 technology patents as an inventor, and earned a PhD from Stanford University. His current professional focus centers on funding early-growth stage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and enterprise SaaS companies while continuing his academic research on the future of work.
