Thomas Babcock

Thomas Babcock is a Partner at Trestle Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. In this capacity, he leads seed and Series A investments across enterprise SaaS, fintech, and developer tools, recently helping the firm close its $100 million Fund III in the first quarter of 2025. His active investment portfolio encompasses more than 20 technology startups, including notable software companies such as Ironclad, Propel, and Attentive. Before joining Trestle Partners, Babcock served as an investor at Lerer Hippeau and Primary Venture Partners, following early operational roles at SoundCloud and GroupMe prior to its acquisition by Skype. As a graduate of Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in computer science, Babcock currently focuses on leveraging his operational background to support founders building foundational B2B software and artificial intelligence developer tools.
