Thiago Mendes

Thiago Mendes is currently a Partner at Barn Investimentos, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage greentech investments across the Latin American market. As a veteran investment specialist, he has collaborated closely with firm founder Flavio Zaclis for more than a decade to execute the organization's regional investment strategy. Mendes helps oversee a growing portfolio of 16 active companies and has directly contributed to three successful exits and one major merger and acquisition transaction since the firm's inception in 2012. He is presently involved in raising $150 million for the firm's third venture fund, building upon previous industry recognition from global organizations including EMPEA and Environmental Finance. His current professional focus centers on deploying capital into sustainable Latin American startups operating specifically within the agriculture, land use, mobility, circular economy, and clean energy sectors.
