Theonie Anastassiadis

Theonie Anastassiadis is a Senior Principal at Flagship Pioneering and the Founding President of Prologue Medicines, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Since joining the firm in 2018, she has focused on biotechnology venture creation, previously serving as Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Alltrna to develop tRNA platform therapeutics. In 2024, she helped launch Prologue Medicines to discover new therapeutic drugs by applying machine learning to viral proteome proteins. An honors graduate of Haverford College, Anastassiadis holds a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, where her academic research focused on cancer biology. Recognized as a 2024 Boston Business Journal Women Who Lead in Life Sciences honoree, she serves on the Business Advisory Board for the Harvard Institute for RNA Medicine and holds multiple patents alongside publications in Nature Biotechnology.
