Thaisan Tonthat

Thaisan Tonthat is a Partner, Chief Product Officer, and Cofounder at Tidepool Labs, an early-stage venture lab based in San Francisco, California. He previously co-founded the recruiting software company Foundry Hiring, which was successfully acquired by Dropbox. Following this acquisition, Tonthat spent nearly four years working on the engineering and design teams at Dropbox, where he built internal tools and helped scale the corporate organization from 200 to over 1,500 employees. Earlier in his professional career, he worked at the biotechnology startup Aviir and served as a computational biology researcher in Dr. Andrew Fire's laboratory at the Stanford School of Medicine. He holds undergraduate degrees in Human Biology and Computer Science from Stanford University. Tonthat's current professional focus centers on funding, building, and launching new technology companies across the software engineering and computational biology sectors.
