Tess Van Stekelenburg

Tess van Stekelenburg is a Partner of Science at Lux Capital in San Francisco, a venture capital firm where she has worked since March 2023. Prior to this role, she spent two years on the investment team at Hummingbird Ventures from January 2020 to January 2022. Before entering venture capital, she led computational neuroscience research at the University of Oxford between September 2019 and August 2020, and at University College London from January 2016 to January 2018. Her investment portfolio includes frontier technology companies such as space manufacturing startup Varda, CRISPR data platform Latch Bio, and generative protein AI developer ESM3. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in biological sciences and computational neuroscience from University College London and the University of Oxford.
