Teruhide Sato

Teruhide Sato is the Founder and CEO of BEENEXT Capital Management Pte. Ltd., an early-stage venture capital firm based in Singapore. Before establishing BEENEXT in 2015, he served as the Co-founder and CEO of BEENOS from 1999 to 2014, successfully taking the e-commerce company public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2004. He was also a founding member of VeriTrans, Japan's first online payment platform, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Keio University. Under his leadership, BEENEXT has invested in over 230 startups across Southeast Asia, India, and Japan, including early backing for prominent technology companies like Tokopedia and Midtrans, which later merged into GoTo. Recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2008, Sato currently focuses on funding early-stage technology and online businesses across emerging Asian markets.
