Terry Howerton

Terry Howerton is the Founder and CEO of TechNexus Venture Collaborative, an active venture investment and corporate innovation firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Co-founding the firm alongside Fred Hoch, Howerton has successfully helped grow over 450 startups that have collectively raised more than $650 million in venture capital. Previously, he served as a partner at Zealous Venture Partners and currently holds advisory positions on the TechNet Executive Council and the board of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. Under his leadership, TechNexus has expanded its joint-venture model across nearly a dozen major industries, recently launching a strategic venture collaboration initiative with the Department of Homeland Security. A lifelong entrepreneur who started his first business in high school, Howerton maintains a primary focus on bridging the gap between global enterprise corporations and early-stage technology startup ecosystems.
