Ted Orben

Ted Orben is currently an Analyst at Buoyant Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to investments in climate technology and sustainability. Prior to joining this specialized fund, he gained institutional finance experience serving as a Venture Capital Analyst at JP Morgan & Co. throughout the 2022 calendar year. In his present capacity, he works alongside firm founders Amy Francetic and Allison Myers to execute deal sourcing and comprehensive investment evaluation for capital-light digital solutions. His analytical work has directly supported the firm's participation in several recent transactions, including an $8 million Series A financing for ReelData, a $5 million Seed round for ElectroTempo, and a $4 million Seed round for Shifted Energy. Orben maintains a primary professional focus on identifying and evaluating emerging software startups that deploy scalable energy technologies to address global climate challenges.
