Tarek El Kady

Tarek El Kady is the Founder and CEO of Techne and the Co-founder and Chairman of Alex Angels, based in Alexandria, Egypt. Since 2015, he has organized the Techne Summit, an international technology event, and he has served as the Chairman of Investors of the Mediterranean since 2019. His broader executive background includes roles as the Executive Chairman at KD Group, Vice Chairman at Markade, and Managing Director at WebArchitect starting in 2003. Additionally, El Kady holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Alexandria University and was appointed as a Senator for Egypt at the World Business Angels Investment Forum in 2020. He currently operates as a Board Member for the African Business Angel Network following his 2021 appointment. His primary focus remains on structuring early-stage venture capital investments and expanding entrepreneurial ecosystems across the Middle East.
