Tanner Potter

Tanner Potter is a General Partner at Initialized Capital, based in San Francisco, California. Before joining the venture capital firm in the first quarter of 2024, he held product leadership roles at Pinterest and worked in corporate operations at Bain & Company. Potter holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and has deployed more than $100 million in assets under management across over twenty early-stage technology companies. His investment portfolio includes notable acquisitions by enterprise software corporations such as Salesforce and Adobe, and he recently led a $15 million seed funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Replicate in June 2025. As an operator and investor, Potter currently focuses his investment strategy and advisory work on seed and Series A funding rounds within the enterprise software, artificial intelligence, developer tools, and financial technology sectors.
