Tanner Jones

Tanner Jones is a technology entrepreneur and policy expert with a background in political campaign software and regulatory frameworks. He previously founded and operated Downballot Solutions, a political campaign technology startup that ultimately achieved a successful exit. Jones later joined the Cicero Institute, a public policy think tank founded by Joe Lonsdale, where he served as the Technology and Regulatory Policy Director and was named the 2024 Employee of the Year. He studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics alongside Classics at Dartmouth College, and he previously coached the 2021 national champion in speech and debate. Outside of his professional endeavors, he holds powerlifting records across two different states and qualified for the 2023 IPL World Powerlifting Championships. Jones maintains a primary focus on the intersection of technology innovation, political campaigns, and regulatory policy.
