Tahmid Jamal

Tahmid Jamal is the Chief Technology Officer at Yondu, a Y Combinator-backed robotics startup focused on automating fulfillment operations. Prior to joining the core founding team at Yondu alongside Chief Executive Officer Michael Chen and Head of Research Lianhao Yin, Jamal studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT, he earned undergraduate degrees in artificial intelligence and aerospace engineering before leaving his master's program to participate in the Y Combinator accelerator. His technical experience includes developing astrodynamics simulations for a NASA solar research proposal and conducting advanced academic research on uncertainty estimation within deep learning frameworks. He has also worked extensively on language model compression and quantization techniques to optimize artificial intelligence performance. Jamal's current professional focus centers on integrating advanced artificial intelligence models with proprietary robotics hardware to scale automated logistics and fulfillment solutions.
