Taher Haveliwala

Taher Haveliwala is an Investor and Advisor at QForge Ventures and the Co-founder of Scalar Labs, based in Los Angeles, California. He holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BS from UC Berkeley. Haveliwala co-founded Kaltix, a search firm acquired by Google in 2003, where he subsequently served as a Staff Software Engineer on the Search Rankings team until 2008. He later worked as an Engineering Consultant for Room 77 from 2010 to 2014 before its technology was also acquired by Google. Holding over 20 patents across 15 years of coding experience, he has guided early-stage startups to exits with corporations including Slack and Autodesk. His current focus centers on leveraging his technical expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and web-scale personalized ranking algorithms to scale emerging ventures.
