Taavi Lepmets

Based in Munich, Taavi Lepmets is a veteran entrepreneur and Partner who helped found Trind Ventures, one of the first technology venture capital funds in the Baltics. Before driving the launch of Trind Ventures in 1999, he built several startups and notably helped found the financial institution LHV Group in Tallinn. He maintains a dedicated focus on financing early stage European software startups that integrate strong consumer, community, or marketplace components into their business models. At Trind Ventures, he helps manage a portfolio that averages four transactions annually and participates in funding rounds averaging almost four million dollars. His recent investment activity includes backing a nearly six million dollar Series A round for the language application Tandem and jointly leading an eight million dollar Series A for the French music platform Groover in February 2024.
