Sylvain Carle

Sylvain Carle is a Venture Partner at Real Ventures and an impact investor based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Over a 25-year career in emerging technologies and venture capital, he previously served as a General Partner at Real Ventures from 2014 to 2020 and worked as a Senior Developer Advocate at Twitter in San Francisco. Before entering the venture investment sector, he operated as a serial entrepreneur, co-founding and acting as Chief Technology Officer for multiple early startups, including Needium, Praized, and Messagia. He also served as the general manager for the FounderFuel accelerator, supporting early-stage technology companies and contributing to a broader investment portfolio that includes successful graduates like Sonder and Mejuri. Today, Carle directs his current focus toward pre-seed and seed-stage startups developing algorithmic and data-driven solutions for climate technology and global impact challenges.
