Sy Jacobs

Sy Jacobs is the Managing Partner at Jacobs Asset Management, a prominent New York investment firm he founded in 1995 to focus exclusively on public equities within the financial services sector. His highly specialized portfolios specifically target regional banks, asset managers, and specialty finance companies to identify long-term value and structural shifts within the broader global industry. Prior to establishing his own fund, Jacobs spent over a decade as a Wall Street analyst with notable tenures at Salomon Brothers and LF Rothschild. He subsequently served as a Managing Director and Director of Research at Mabon Securities, where he successfully oversaw the firm's entire global equity research department. To build his foundational expertise, Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from the NYU Stern School of Business.
