Swetha Murali

Swetha Murali is a Vice President at OMX Ventures based in Boston, United States. In her current role, she identifies early-stage investments, leads due diligence, and supports portfolio companies for a firm that raised over $150 million for its inaugural Seed and Series A fund. Previously, she served as an Associate at Flagship Pioneering, where she co-founded and operated three distinct companies focused on artificial intelligence, agriculture, and cell therapy after completing the firm's Fellows Program in 2018. Before entering venture capital, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School developing genetic treatments for hearing disorders, having earned her doctorate in neuropharmacology from the University of Sydney. Her current focus centers on building and investing in life sciences startups at the intersection of biology, big data, and engineering.
