Susumu Tsubaki

Susumu Tsubaki is the Director and CEO of Asia Africa Investment and Consulting Holdings, operating primarily from dual bases in Tokyo and Singapore. Before founding this investment firm to bridge Asian capital with emerging markets, he spent 15 years at Boston Consulting Group as a Partner and Managing Director and graduated from the University of Tokyo. After serving as President of a publicly listed company, he established Japan's first Africa-focused investment fund in 2014 and later raised $47 million for the Africa Healthcare Fund 1. His diverse investment portfolio features strategic stakes in prominent startups like Chipper Cash and Sendy, alongside the recent 2024 management buyout of Crown Agents Japan. Tsubaki currently focuses on accelerating innovative African healthcare, agribusiness, and technology ventures while also sharing his extensive expertise as an MBA Professor at Business Breakthrough University.
