Sunny Kim

Sunny Kim is the Co-Founder and head of Engineering and Innovation at R.care, based in San Francisco, California. She established the health technology startup, which provides a science-backed eating disorder recovery program and participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2021 batch with a three-person team. Prior to launching this venture, Kim co-founded and developed Seknd, a specialized beauty search and product recommendation platform. Her earlier technical background includes serving as a Tech Lead for Google Travel User Modeling and working as a Software Engineer focused on YouTube Video Ads at Google. She earned her degree in Computer Science and Computer Vision from Rice University, attending the institution between 2010 and 2014. Kim currently focuses on applying her machine learning and software engineering expertise to build innovative consumer applications within the digital health sector.
