Sunil Bhargava

Sunil Bhargava is a Managing Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, where he leads the firm's regional investments across consumer technology and fintech. Before joining the venture capital firm, he co-founded and led the financial technology startup Citrus Pay, which was successfully acquired by PayU in 2016. His prior operational experience also includes product and growth leadership positions at major e-commerce corporations Amazon and Flipkart. At Lightspeed, Bhargava manages over $1 billion in India-focused funds and has executed more than 50 investments, including leading a 2024 Series F funding round in the healthtech sector. Additionally, he co-authored "The Indian Startup Playbook" in 2023 to share industry insights. The IIT Kanpur computer science alumnus currently focuses on early-stage SaaS and enterprise software investments while bridging technology markets between India and the United States.
