Sumi Das

Sumi Das is a Partner at CapitalG, Alphabet's independent growth fund, based in San Francisco, California. Before joining the firm in 2021, she served as a Partner at Menlo Ventures from 2017 to 2021 and held investment roles as a Principal at New Enterprise Associates and at Battery Ventures. Throughout her venture capital career, Das has backed enterprise software and cybersecurity startups, contributing to a portfolio that exceeds $10 billion in created value through early investments in prominent companies like CrowdStrike, Tanium, and Druva. She began her professional career as a consultant at Bain & Company and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School alongside a BA from Stanford University. Recently leading CapitalG's 2023 investment in Cleo AI, her current focus remains on funding and scaling growth-stage enterprise technology, SaaS, and fintech companies operating globally.
